On Saturday, 12th September 2026, participants gathered at St Peter’s Church on West Street, Drogheda, setting off at 10:00 am to tackle the scenic 25km Boyne Valley Camino Challenge.

Walkers journeyed through the beautiful landscapes of the Boyne Valley while supporting SAFE Castlebellingham Community Counselling. For many, the trek was also the beginning of an international adventure: participants completing the full 25km had their walk recorded in their Camino passport, marking a milestone journey that could one day continue along the famous Camino in Spain.

More than just a physical endurance test, the challenge served as a powerful reminder of the importance of community connection. It offered an opportunity for participants to come together, support one another, and take a positive step for both physical and mental wellbeing.

Organisers expressed their deepest gratitude to all the incredible walkers, dedicated volunteers, and generous supporters who made the day such an uplifting success.
