Louth GAA Field of Fortune Draw Nears With Over 21,500 Tickets Sold
With more than 21,500 tickets snapped up so far, Louth GAA’s ambitious fundraising initiative is entering its final hours ahead of the live draw this Sunday, 23rd August 2026.
Launched to help clear final construction costs at the brand-new county stadium—officially named Edward Goodman Park in Dundalk—the community response has been phenomenal. Dedicated volunteers have pounded pavements and gone door-to-door across every corner of the county, helping drive the fundraising tally past an estimated €1.1 million to date.

- 1st Prize: A massive €200,000 cash prize.
- 2nd Prize: A brand-new car valued at €25,000, kindly supported by Blackstone Motors.
- 3rd Prize: A luxury €10,000 travel voucher in association with Clinton Travel.
Originally pencilled in for early August, county officials made the strategic decision to extend the deadline by nearly three weeks to fully capitalize on public interest.
Reflecting on the campaign earlier in the month, County Chairman Sean McClean emphasized the long-term importance of the effort: “We know we only have one opportunity to maximise this fundraising campaign and deliver the financial support required to complete our state-of-the-art county stadium. This facility will provide a lasting legacy for our players, clubs, volunteers and future generations of Louth GAA.”
